Frequently Asked Questions

Timelines, commissions, certifications, and requirements: what every brand asks before entering the American market.

Does my company already need to be exporting to work with you?

Not necessarily. We can support you from the very first regulatory steps all the way to shelf placement.

How long does it take to place a product in a supermarket chain?

Between 4 and 12 months on average, depending on the chain, category, and regulatory status. We work to accelerate the process with our established relationships.

Does BYD Foods buy my products or sell them on commission?

We are commercial representatives. We act on your behalf and earn commission on sales. Your company always retains ownership and control of its brand.

What certifications does my product need to enter the U.S.?

Imported foods must comply with FDA regulations, including facility registration, English labeling with nutritional information, and traceability under the FSMA. Our legal team guides you through the entire process.

Can I use BYD Foods' offices as my company's address?

Yes. We offer a business address in Los Angeles for correspondence, corporate registration, and serving American clients.

Do you work only with large companies or also with SMEs?

With companies of all sizes. What matters is product quality, consistent production capacity, and commitment to the internationalization process.
